In collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Institute at King Saud University and the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, GGC continues its innovation journey after the success of the Beban Asir forum, to the beloved city of Jeddah with the initiative of the Innovation Journey in Entrepreneurship.
The forum featured an innovation bootcamp led and designed by GGC, facilitating the participation of groups of entrepreneurs as they progressed through five stages of innovation. These stages aimed to identify the challenges faced by entrepreneurs and generate around 1000 innovative solutions using the Innovation Wall for each group. These solutions were then transformed into viable services, products, or entrepreneurial projects tailored for small and medium-sized companies in the region.
Throughout the innovation journey, participants underwent essential steps to develop services, products, and business projects. These included empathizing with customer needs, generating and validating innovative ideas, testing proposed solutions through the customer journey, using interactive innovation tools to model the idea, and finally presenting the developed innovative services and products.
The Intensive Design Thinking Program has drawn an estimated cohort of 500 entrepreneurs from the region. The program focuses on finding innovative solutions to challenges in the health, tourism, and education sectors and aims to transform them into entrepreneurial services and products that contribute to the economic development of the region.
